About the IBS Doctor

The IBS Doctor has been developed by Melbourne-based Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist Dr Paul Froomes to support those people who suffer the debilitating symptoms of IBS.

For over 30 years Dr Froomes has specialised in diagnosing and managing disorders related to imbalances in the microbial structure of the gut microbiome. He is considered one of the leading authorities on the treatment of IBS in Australia.

Board certified in colonoscopy, gastroscopy, general gastroenterology and hepatology, Dr Froomes studied medicine at Monash University and completed his specialist physician training with the Royal Australian College of Physicians at the Austin Hospital. He completed a post doctorate master’s degree in liver disease at the University of Melbourne and has published many scientific research papers on cirrhosis and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr Froomes is also the author of ‘Your Best Gut’ - The 28-Day Guide to Transform Your Life.
